On this week’s Something More with Chris Boyd a thoughtful political discussion contrasting progressive & conservative views.
Chris has an in depth discussion with State Senator and founder of Cape Air, Dan Wolf. If we are in part a product of our experiences, then learning more about Dan’s past success in career and business, and his view of government’s role, can give insight into his political priorities. Dan shares his progressive prescription for Massachusetts and beyond, recommending: increased minimum wage, infrastructure expenditure, a more progressive state income tax (more income = higher tax rates), stronger & better labor unions, and encouraging increased employee equity.
Following Mike Burton’s Slade Mortgage Minute, Chris interviews Stephen Moore, conservative economist and Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Heritage Foundation and former member of the Wall Street Journal’s editorial board. The two discuss Moore’s 2012 book, “Whose the Fairest of Them All?: The Truth About Opportunity, Taxes, and Wealth In America”, which in many respects is a thoughtful conservatives response to many of the progressive priorities.
