We are joined by the President and CEO of The Cape Cod Foundation, Kristin O’Malley, to explain the non-profit’s active role in the Cape Cod community. Being 33 years young, The Cape Cod Foundation is known as a “community foundation,” acting as a charitable community trust for the Cape Cod area. They work with donors, individuals, families, businesses and other non-profits and community groups to establish funds with The Cape Cod Foundation, which are pooled, invested, and distributed back into the community in the form of grants and scholarships. Kristen shares with us how they prioritize community needs and the many initiatives they have going on.
After, we are joined by Rabbi David Grossman of Temple Beth Sholom to discuss his journey on becoming a Rabbi, and the origins of Hanukkah and its significance to the Jewish community today. He goes on to explain what a miracle is, the role God plays in our everyday lives, and the quality of gratefulness in a person.
Shifting gears, Chris and Jeff wrap up the show to remind listeners to take their Required Minimum Distributions before the end of the year and explain the implications of being a beneficiary of another person’s IRA.
